THE BIG BACK GUIDE: 6 ACTIVITIES THAT PROVE YOU TAKE FOOD VERY SERIOUSLY 😂
There are people who enjoy food.
There are people who LOVE food.
And then there are the people the internet has affectionately—and sometimes ruthlessly—classified as “Big Backs.”
A Big Back isn't necessarily defined by how much someone weighs. It's more about the commitment to eating. The person who sees a family-size bag of chips and doesn't see a serving suggestion—they see a personal challenge.
If food had a loyalty program, the Big Back would have platinum status.
So, what exactly qualifies as a Big Back activity? We investigated the lifestyle and discovered six behaviors that might expose even the most undercover food lover.
1. THE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BUFFET OLYMPICS 🍔
For most people, an all-you-can-eat buffet is simply a convenient way to have dinner.
For the Big Back, it's an athletic event.
The first plate is all about strategy. A little chicken here, some rice there, maybe a few vegetables to make the meal look responsible.
Then comes the second plate.
And that's when things get serious.
By plate three, you're no longer eating because you're hungry. You're eating because you paid for unlimited food and you're determined to get your money's worth.
Dessert isn't even the final round. Dessert is the bonus round.
The Big Back doesn't leave the buffet when they're full.
They leave when they're proud.
2. WING WEDNESDAY 🍗
There is something about chicken wings that causes perfectly reasonable adults to completely lose track of portion control.
“Let's get 20.”
Then someone says, “We should probably get 30.”
Suddenly there are 50 wings on the table.
The Big Back will insist they're sharing, but somehow the plate keeps getting smaller every time you look away.
And let's not forget the sauces.
Mild. Hot. BBQ. Garlic Parmesan. Lemon Pepper.
At some point, this isn't dinner anymore.
It's a wing tasting expedition.
3. THE PIZZA CRAWL 🍕
A normal person finds a pizza place they like and orders a pie.
The Big Back asks:
“But which pizza place is REALLY the best?”
And thus begins the Pizza Crawl.
One slice from one location.
Another slice somewhere else.
Maybe a grandma slice.
Maybe a pepperoni slice.
Then somebody says, “There's a spot five minutes away that's better.”
And you suddenly find yourself on a culinary road trip with grease on your fingers and absolutely no intention of stopping.
The best part?
At every location, someone says:
“I'm only getting one slice.”
Nobody believes you.
Especially not your stomach.
4. DESSERT BEFORE DINNER 🍰
Society created an imaginary rule that dessert comes after dinner.
The Big Back has decided that rules are negotiable.
Cake for breakfast?
Possible.
Ice cream before dinner?
Absolutely.
Cookies at midnight?
That's not even a question.
The Big Back understands something the rest of society refuses to accept:
If you already know you're going to eat dessert, why create unnecessary obstacles?
Dinner can wait.
The cheesecake cannot.
5. THE TACO TOUR 🌮
The Taco Tour is where food appreciation becomes competitive.
The mission is simple: visit multiple taco spots and determine which one deserves the crown.
You start with one taco.
Then another.
Then someone recommends the birria.
Then someone else says the al pastor is better.
Before you know it, you're four restaurants deep and discussing tortilla quality like you're judging the World Cup of Mexican cuisine.
At some point, everyone gets quiet.
The tacos have won.
Your stomach has surrendered.
But there's still one more spot someone “heard about.”
And that's how a simple taco night becomes a six-hour commitment.
6. THE FAMILY-SIZE DORITO TEST 🔴
@iamjorgeruiz Gotta love eating a family size bag of chips 🤣

This may be the ultimate Big Back activity.
The bag says FAMILY SIZE.
The Big Back says:
“Okay.”
Not “I'm going to share this.”
Not “I'll save some for tomorrow.”
Just:
“Okay.”
The bag opens.
One handful becomes two.
Two becomes five.
Suddenly you're watching television with one hand in the bag like you've been assigned to guard it.
Eventually, you look down.
The bag is empty.
Your fingers are covered in orange seasoning.
There are Dorito crumbs on your shirt.
And someone walks into the room and asks:
“Did you eat the whole bag?”
You immediately become a defense attorney.
“Technically, I didn't eat ALL of it.”
“Oh yeah? Where's the rest?”
…
“I don't know.”
That's when you know you've reached Big Back Elite status.
SO, ARE YOU A BIG BACK?
Being a Big Back isn't necessarily about how much you eat.
It's about the mindset.
It's ordering appetizers even though you're getting an entrée.
It's getting fries with the meal and then asking someone if you can have some of theirs.
It's saying, “I'm not that hungry,” before ordering enough food to feed a small department.
And, of course, it's looking at a family-size bag of Doritos and thinking:
“Family? They don't know my family.”
At the end of the day, we may not be able to define the Big Back scientifically.
But we know one thing for sure:
If you completed all six of these activities, you don't have a food problem.
You have food accomplishments. 😂🍔🍗🍕🌮
